We were about to launch a new multi-level online game for 11–14-year-olds and needed a promotional video… quickly
We took the brief just before the Christmas break and the launch event had already been scheduled for early January, so we had to work fast. The point of the game is to make democracy interesting to teenagers and we knew our promo would need to reflect this. We waded through a wide variety of resources in order to hand pick the elements we thought would work best.
The final 2-minute promo was carefully targeted. Our creative included screen grabs of the game itself along with images from existing Oculus-created publications, as well as the script and voice-over. We took into account feedback from user testing with a group of teenagers and the result is punchy, catchy, engaging, entertaining and visually strong to stimulate interest in this discriminating age group. It was immensely satisfying to see our work aired at the high-profile event for press, MPs and VIPs at the Houses of Parliament.
“Oculus created fantastic illustrations that have been used across our printed publications and animated for the website and our teaching programme.”
